What an estate cleanout includes

The whole house, at your pace.

An estate cleanout usually comes at a hard time. A parent is moving to assisted living, a family is selling the house they grew up in, or someone is settling a loved one’s estate. There’s a lot to decide and a lot to carry, and it rarely fits around a town’s bulk pickup schedule.

We take it slowly and follow your lead. Tell us what’s staying with family, what’s going to an estate sale or donation, and what can go, and we’ll work through the house room by room. We’re careful with the home itself too, protecting floors and doorways on the way out.

Westchester towns aren’t set up for a whole house at the curb. Bronxville’s bulk program is meant for small quantities, and the village suggests a private hauler for larger amounts; Mount Vernon’s free pickup stops at 200 pounds a week. For a full home, one crew is simpler.

Delivered, placed, or hauled away responsibly, and we leave the space spotless.

Whole-house cleanouts and town bulk pickup

Built for a piece or two, not a whole house.

Town bulk programs are designed for occasional items, so clearing a full estate at the curb can take months of pickup days. Here's what the towns we serve allow.

When calling a crew makes more sense

  • The house needs to be empty by a closing, a showing or a move-in date.
  • There's furniture, appliances and boxes in every room.
  • Family members live out of town and can't wait on weekly pickup days.

Estate cleanouts FAQs

Estate cleanouts, answered.

How does an estate cleanout work?

We start with a walkthrough or photos, then agree on what stays, what goes to family or donation, and what we take. On the day, we work room by room, carry everything out, load the truck and sweep as we go. You can be there, or leave it to us once the plan is set.

Can you work around an estate sale?

Yes. If you're holding an estate sale, we can come right after it to clear what's left, or empty specific rooms beforehand so the sale has space to run. Tell us the sale dates when you book.

Do I need to be there during the cleanout?

Not if you'd rather not be. Once we've agreed on what stays and what goes, family members who live out of town can leave it to us and arrange access. Tell us how you'd like to handle it when you book.

Do you donate usable items from an estate?

We donate what we can when items are in usable condition, and recycle or dispose of the rest responsibly. If the family wants certain things to go to a specific charity, tell us ahead of time.

How long does it take to clear a whole house?

It depends on the size of the home and how full it is. A smaller home can often be cleared in a day; larger homes, or full attics and basements, can take longer. A walkthrough or photos lets us give you a time estimate with the price.
