What our packing service includes
Packed, wrapped and ready.
Packing is the part of a move that takes longest and causes the most broken dishes. A whole home can mean dozens of boxes, and the kitchen alone can take a full day.
We pack and wrap room by room, label as we go, and pad and strap furniture for the truck. You can hand us the whole house, or just the rooms you’d rather not tackle yourself, like the kitchen, the artwork or the china cabinet.
Packing is also the easiest moment to let things go. Anything you decide not to bring can go out with the junk, so you’re not paying to move it. See local movers for the full move.

What not to pack: disposal rules around Westchester
Some things shouldn't go in a box.
Moving is when people find old paint, chemicals and electronics. Hazardous materials shouldn't go on a moving truck, and towns handle electronics separately. Here's where they go.
| Town | What the town does | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Westchester County | Household chemicals, rechargeable batteries, fluorescent bulbs and electronics go to the Household Material Recovery Facility in Valhalla, by appointment, Tuesday to Saturday. | Official page |
| Scarsdale | Electronics go to the e-waste container at the Sanitation Yard, 110 Secor Road, not out with bulky trash. | Official page |
| New Rochelle | TVs and computers are collected by appointment only. | Official page |
| White Plains | Residents can drop off metal items and electronics at the Gedney Way recycling yard. | Official page |
| Mount Vernon | Electronics aren't part of the free bulk collection. | Official page |
Checked October 2026. Town rules change, so confirm with your town before you set anything out. Each town links to our local page with more detail.
When calling a crew makes more sense
- You're short on time and the kitchen alone would take a day.
- You have fragile, heavy or valuable pieces you don't want to wrap yourself.
- You're sorting as you pack and want the leftovers hauled away.

Packing services FAQs
Packing, answered.
Do you provide boxes and packing materials?
Ask when you book. We'll tell you what's included with packing, what we bring and what you might want to buy ahead of time, so there are no surprises on packing day.
Can you pack just part of my home?
Yes. Many people pack the easy rooms themselves and hand us the hard ones: the kitchen, the china cabinet, the artwork and the mirrors. Tell us which rooms you want packed and we'll quote just that.
What can't be packed for a move?
Hazardous materials like paint, household chemicals, propane tanks and fuel shouldn't go on a moving truck. In Westchester, household chemicals can go to the county's Household Material Recovery Facility in Valhalla, by appointment. Set them aside before packing day.
Should I get rid of things before packing?
Yes, if you can. Everything you move costs time and truck space. Go room by room, set aside what's not coming, and we can haul it away, so you're not packing things you'll throw out at the new place.
When does packing happen?
For a full home, usually a day or two before the move; for a small apartment, it can be the morning of. Book packing and moving together so the crew can plan around your building's move hours.
